Is there a receipt scanner that works in WhatsApp?
Why a WhatsApp receipt scanner
Receipt apps work well, but only if you remember to open them. WhatsApp is already open all day, so the photo gets sent the moment you get the receipt, before it fades or gets lost.
What Bukuzi reads from a receipt
- Shop or supplier name
- Date and total, including tax where shown
- Line items, used to suggest the category
- Payment method when printed (card or cash)
Every entry keeps the photo it came from, so you or your accountant can always check the original.
What it costs
Plans are paid monthly in US dollars: Starter $5 (receipts, voice notes, sales and expenses, weekly and monthly summary), Business $12 (adds invoices, quotes, who owes you, bills with reminders and Excel export) and VAT Pro $19 (adds VAT summaries and accounting-software exports). Every plan starts with 2 weeks free, and accountants use their dashboard for free.
Try it free for 2 weeks. Just say hi on WhatsApp.

What if the photo is blurry?
Bukuzi shows you what it read before saving, so you can correct it or send a clearer photo.
Can I send old receipts?
Yes. Send them one by one; Bukuzi uses the date printed on the receipt.
Does it keep the original photo?
Yes, each entry keeps the photo it came from.
