Terms of service

These terms apply when you use Bukuzi, a bookkeeping service provided by Carriage LLC, Oakland Park, Florida, USA (“we”, “us”). By using Bukuzi you agree to them. Questions: mart@bukuzi.com.

The service

Bukuzi helps you record sales and expenses from messages, voice notes and photos you send on WhatsApp, and produces summaries, invoices, reminders, VAT figures and exports. Bukuzi always shows you what it recorded so you can check and correct it. You are responsible for checking that your records are correct.

Not tax, legal or accounting advice

Bukuzi is a record-keeping tool. VAT figures and summaries are estimates based on what you send. Bukuzi does not file tax returns, is not a fiscal device and does not replace a qualified accountant. Please have your accounts and returns checked by a professional.

Your account

• You must provide accurate details and keep your phone and WhatsApp secure.
• Only use Bukuzi for lawful business purposes and only send information you are allowed to share.
• If you invite an accountant, they can see your records until you remove them.

Trials, prices and payment

• Free trials last for the period stated when you sign up. We will tell you before a trial ends; you only pay if you choose to continue.
• Paid plans are billed monthly in US dollars, in advance. Prices are shown on bukuzi.com.
• If a payment fails, we may pause your account until it is paid. Your records are kept during that time.
• You can cancel at any time; the service then runs to the end of the month you have paid for.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice.

Your data

Your records belong to you. You can download them at any time. How we handle personal information is described in our privacy policy.

Availability

We work to keep Bukuzi running at all times, but it depends on WhatsApp, mobile networks and other providers, and there may be interruptions. We may update and improve the service over time.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Bukuzi is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, or for losses caused by incorrect information sent to Bukuzi or records you did not check.

Ending the service

You may stop using Bukuzi at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or misuse the service, and will give notice where reasonable.

Changes and law

We may update these terms and will notify you of important changes in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without affecting any rights you have under the consumer laws of your own country.
